Eggplant is my jam! I also love turmeric and eggs so this recipe was made for me. I have eaten Iranian food and I love it, the flavors, the spice and I love the fact that its usually healthy. I find myself eating the same food over and over again. I get stuck in my habits and it’s hard to break out of them. This dish is simple and looks delicious Christina 🙂

I love eggplant, i just don’t know any fabulous ways to cook it! This sounds wonderful, I love middle Eastern spices like nothing else – thanks for the recipe! I think the photos are gorgeous, too!

I 100% totally agree with you about food blogging and flavors! Laura used to pick on me for not wanting to try new foods, but now I’ll eat anything as long as I made it for the blog. She says it’s because I actually saw the dish being made, but I say it’s “for research purposes.” 🙂 But I must admit that I haven’t broken into Iranian cuisine yet. This Mirza Ghasemi sounds delicious, though. As in, I kinda want to eat it for lunch today. Yum! Also, liquid shortening? Uh. Put that into the category with vending machine oysters.
